In this case, the mesh pad demisters are going to be used in
ventilation system for a painting room. The bracketed structure are
special designed for easy replacement and maintenance. The screen
grids can be crimped mesh, welded mesh, and expanded mesh, also. It

How does a demister pad work?
(1)A vapor stream carrying entrained liquid droplets passes through
a demister pad. The vapor moves freely through the knitted mesh.
(2)The inertia of the droplets causes them to contact the wire
surfaces and coalesce.
(3)The large, coalesced droplets formed in the mesh ultimately
drain and drop to the vessel bottom.
Mesh pad demister Efficiency:
When properly designed demister pads can give efficiency up to
99.9% with minimal pressure drop. Normally demister pads can remove
droplets down to 5 microns and lower with a free volume of up to
99% and a surface area of up to 1940 m2/m3. Due to high value of
free volume the pressure drop across the demister pad is
sufficiently low in most applications.
